Home Ahead was created in response to rising housing costs, increasing affordability pressures, growing financial strain, and the increasing difficulty many individuals and families face in accessing, maintaining, protecting, improving, or advancing their housing position.

As housing challenges became more complex, many homeowners, renters, and future homeowners found themselves facing important housing decisions without a clear understanding of available options, support structures, funding opportunities, professionals, programs, initiatives, or practical pathways that may have been available to them.

Home Ahead recognized that while homeowners, renters, and future homeowners often face different housing challenges, they frequently encounter a similar problem: difficulty identifying, understanding, accessing, coordinating, and navigating the resources, support structures, housing programs, financial assistance opportunities, professionals, and housing-focused solutions that may help improve their situation.
